How Picky Are You is a client-side tool. Your filter selections stay in your browser. We don't have user accounts, we don't collect personal information, and we don't sell data to anyone.
None, really. All calculations happen entirely in your browser. Your filter choices (age range, height preferences, location, etc.) are never sent to our servers.
When you share a link, your filter settings are encoded in the URL parameters. Anyone with that link can see those settings — but that's by design, so your friends can see your results.
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand general usage patterns (e.g., page views, which features are popular). This data is aggregated and anonymous — we cannot identify individual users.
We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. The site may use essential cookies required for basic functionality (like remembering your preferences), but nothing that tracks you across the web.
The site is hosted on standard web infrastructure. We use Google Fonts for typography, which means your browser makes requests to Google's servers to load fonts. This is standard practice for most websites. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
The demographic data used for calculations comes from publicly available sources including the US Census Bureau, American Community Survey, CDC, and Pew Research. No individual-level data is used — only aggregate population statistics.
How Picky Are You is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
If we make changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Given that we collect essentially no data, we don't expect major changes.
